Do I have to use Adobe Illustrator?
Nope! While File Makers Academy relies on Illustrator, this course is suitable for file designers who use any design software.
Do I have to use Etsy?
Etsy comes with two important things: customer trust, and lots of traffic.
Unless you’re a marketing expert, Etsy is the best platform for selling files in most cases.
Can I sell the files I make from your YouTube tutorials?
Absolutely! Assuming that you put your own spin on the files rather than copying mine exactly (hey, I already sell those!), you should be good to go. Make sure the average customer wouldn’t assume that mine and yours are the same, and sell away!
How long will I have access to the course?
You will have access for the lifetime of my business. As long as I’m teaching online Glowforge courses, you’ll have access to this one. The good news is that as I update the course for future sessions, you’ll have free access to those updates too!
I’ve never made a file before. Will this be too advanced for me?
I recommend you start with File Makers Academy to master file design before jumping into running your Etsy shop.
